Tablescraps vol. II, an album made entirely out of samples from records, was put together back in 2004 using a Numark turntable and a desktop PC. Inspired in large part by DJ Shadow's "Entroducing" and Kid Koala's "Carpal Tunnel Syndrome", it's a cross between mix tape and sound collage, a continuous flow of samples taken out of their original context and repurposed to be shown in a new light, from a new perspective. Less a collection of songs than a constant stream of ideas, the album flows seamlessly as layers of grooves and textures slowly morph from one to the next.

SSS (aka Sam Smith) began making four-track recordings in 1999. Since then he has spent much of his free time creating and recording layers of rhythmic patterns, shifting grooves, and hypnotizing instrumental landscapes.
